On a river (Soar) walk we discovered by chance these delightful tearooms on the main road in Sutton Bonington. A nice selection of cakes and sandwiches although their was only one gluten free option the day we called/5(23). History. Sutton Bonington (/ ˈ s ʌ t ən ˈ b ɒ n ɪ ŋ t ən /) is a village and civil parish lying along the valley of the River Soar in the Borough of Rushcliffe, south west Nottinghamshire, England. The University of Nottingham has a hectares ( km 2) site just to the north of the village: Sutton Bonington Campus.   Bonington Halls offers self-catering accommodation on the University of Nottingham campus is Sutton Bonington.
